You ever visit a place, and you think: how is this here?

That's all I could think of when I toured Europe for the first time and found some of the best Italian food I've ever had; not in Italy, but in a small town in the middle of the Czech Republic.I toured Northern Europe during Thanksgiving 2022- a different celebration after family plans got complicated, but it's hard to beat celebrating the holiday over schnitzel at a Medieval show in Germany. Group traveling is my go-to, so I joined GAdventures's Essential Western Europe for most of the trip; I couldn't have asked for a better group to tour castles and ABCs (another boring church) with, and here's my take on Northern Europe:

Paris

One of my favorite cities in the world, and for good reason.

Amsterdam

When people say the Dutch are among the most bike friendly, they aren't kidding.

Berlin

Dresden

Small town on the way from Berlin to Prague, and definitely worth a stop.

Prague
